Most of the times, we absorb everything—stress from coworkers, unspoken tension in rooms, the mood of a loved one, or even the collective heaviness scrolling through the news. So without energy hygiene, all that residue has nowhere to go. It settles in our body, our thoughts, and our emotional landscape.

Emotional residue looks like carrying feelings that don’t match your reality. Mental residue shows up as looping thoughts that aren’t helpful or even yours. Energetic residue, however, is subtler—it’s that vague sense of being “off” without a clear reason.
